2 times the charm for The Pregnant Man

Four months ago Thomas Beatie, the transgendered person more famously known as the “Pregnant Man”, gave birth to his first child with his wife Nancy Beatie. Susan Juliette was born on July 3rd to much fanfare and was introduced to the world about three weeks later. This week, the Beaties show off little Susan Juliette to Barbara Walters on ABC’s 20/20 and share a bit of exciting news — the "Pregnant Man" is pregnant again....gross and weird:
Thomas Beatie, the controversial “pregnant man” who gave birth to a daughter earlier this year, reveals to Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview that he is pregnant again with his second child. Thomas Beatie, a transgender, welcomed a baby girl, Susan, June 29. Since sharing the story of Susan’s birth with ABC News, he and his wife, Nancy Beatie, hadn’t spoken to the media until they sat down last month with Walters. Thomas Beatie, who is in his first trimester, tells Walters he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after Susan’s birth so he could have another baby. “I feel good,” he said. “I had my checkups with my hormone level, as far as the HCG. And everything is right on track.” He says the baby is due June 12. Thomas Beatie also spoke to Walters about Susan’s birth, which was not via Caesarean section. He was in labor for 40 hours; Nancy Beatie cut the umbilical cord.
Ok...i think that this is one of the most disgusting things ever and i have no idea why 20/20 would do a story on this. I know its unusual and i know that I shouldnt judge and if they are happy...this IS America and they have the freedom to love whoever...or whatever they want. I mean i guessi should commend them on trying to have a somewhat of a "normal" family life considering that the man is the the one giving birth....

EXTRA EXTRA

The news about Jennifer Hudson's family being murdered has been all over the entertainment news shows, tabloids, and infamous blogs for the past couple of weeks. I feel horrible for her and I cannot imagine being in that situation. That said...I cannot imagine being in that situation and having to deal with it EVERYWHERE I went. I mean there are countless magazines that have made that story the cover story like People Magazine, Us weekly and not to mention the entertainment news programs like E!, Entertainment Tonight and many others. It's hard enough to have to deal with such situations, but having it spread all across the nation like that is just terrible. I would not want my personal life out there like that as a reminder of how imperfect and tough life can be. But of course thats when you get down to stars and their wish to have more private lives...it's because of things like that. I know people say "well, having your whole life in tabloids is just part of the job" ....but these are people too and they do have shortcomings and hard times and i think it makes it even harder when its put out there for the world to judge you. Granted, some stars use the tabloids and rumors as a means of getting "ahead" and more famous in Hollywood, but others just want everyone out of their business keep there lives personal...because that is, of course, what they ARE.

Sad Stories

Everyday at breakfast we always have a million Arkansas Democrat Gazettes laying around in the dining room and I'm ALWAYS the nerd eating my cereal and browsing through the paper. My favorite part of the paper is the column on the left of the front page with all of the random little stories. They are very interesting usually and very random. Sometimes they are humurous and youre just left wondering...."what were those people thinking?!"...but other times the stories are sad. One I read recently was about a 24 year old man being sentenced to prison after his 18month old and I believe 2 year old girls died after walking to a neighbors house in 24 degrees below zero weather while they were in their diapers. That is terrible! Another story was about a little boy who was shot while trick or treating by some redneck man who thought he was being robbed! There are so many outrageous things and its actually extremely sad to know that these situations are bad but there are other things in other countries that are so much worse and dangerous. And although Im addicted to reading that part in the paper...i have to balance it out by reading gossip magazines like US Weekly and People. Those are always interesting and light hearted....most of the time.

LOVE!

I always like to go on msn.com and check out the little articles they have posted up and some are very interesting....the range from situations in the workplace to last minute cruise deals to why obama is hard for comics and to of course the topic EVERYONE wants to read about....LOVE! This article that i read today listed 25 interesting things about love and i mean it SAID it was interesting so i read it and picked the five i thought were the most intersting and here they are:
1. Men who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don't.
2. The women of the Tiwi tribe in the South Pacific are married at birth.
3. The tradition of the diamond engagement ring comes from Archduke Maximillian of Austria who, in the 15th century, gave a diamond ring to his fiancée, Mary of Burgundy.
4. Every Valentine's Day, Verona, the Italian city where Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet took place, receives around 1,000 letters addressed to Juliet.
and 5. One in five long-term love relationships began with one or both partners being involved with others.......
Some of these surprised me but most of them were a given....like when two couples are in a relationship they tend to be happier (that was #25)...um duh! Isnt that the whole point? Oh well...at least msn.com was successful in giving me something somewhat interesting to read when im bored and bookless.

Just surfing....

Ok so i came across this article on People.com on Nov. 6th stating that Kim Cattrall, one of the principal stars of Sex and the City, made the bold confirmation that the sequel to Sex and the City will be made "hopefully" next year! BUT...Entertainment Weekly stated that Sarah Jessica Parker, THE star of SATC, said that the sequel is NOT a done deal and they are still in the talking stages. E! News also confirmed that Warner Bros. studio is in the negotiation phase of sequel plans. So while it’s not 100% assured that the sequel will be made, talks are underway to get the deal signed and sealed. So... so far the media just can't agree on a story. Either there is a sequel or not. I know that it is probably Kim Cattrall's fault for counting her eggs before they hatch....but c'mon...you need to check out all the info before you post a story or you just confuse EVERYONE! Including me, a die-hard SATC fan! In other an probably more important news i read today...Msnbc.com (as you can see ive been bored and surfin the net) said that we are facing the greatest economic challenge of our lifetime and "we're going to have to act swiftly to resolve it." ....um duh. Who wants to sit here for years and years waiting for them to resolve this crisis? Oh well...we didnt get into this mess in a day or a week so it is going to take a long time to fix it and put that 6.5% of unemployed people back to work!
